Macros

A macro is a saved payload you can send again without retyping it. Open the macros panel with the Macros icon in the left rail.

Macros can hold text or hex, and you can group them by device or task and drag them to reorder.

Types

Type Fires
Manual When you click it.
Triggered When incoming data matches a pattern. Requires Pro.
Scheduled On an interval. Requires Pro.

Manual macros

The everyday case: a status query, a reset command, a known-good test frame. Click it, it sends.

Manual macros are available without Pro.

Triggered macros

A triggered macro watches the incoming stream and fires when it matches a pattern, either plain text or a regular expression.

Use this for handshakes and challenge/response exchanges — the device says something, and your reply goes out without you sitting there watching for it.

Requires Pro.

Scheduled macros

A scheduled macro fires on an interval. You can optionally give it a fixed number of repeats instead of letting it run indefinitely.

Use this for polling loops and soak tests.

Requires Pro.
